Lab 0 comments (common problems)
- Use constuction lines (not just for cubes)
- Make sure your lines converge at a vanishing point on the horizon (2-point perspective.
- A way to check this is to take a finished drawing and project the lines (with a ruler) on your sketch back to the horizon and check for convergence to the 2 vanishing poings.
- Make sure your lines converge at a vanishing point on the horizon (2-point perspective.
- Go over ALL the \”good lines\” in BLACK ink (go over \”tigerlines\” twice).
- Carry your tiger lines down the entire edge (some of you stopped half way down an edge if there was another object behind that edge).
- Leave a gap on lines on edges that go behind other edges (rather than bringing them right up to the edge).
- Look where you’re drawing to to draw straighter lines
- When laying out cylindrical features or wheels on your drawings, make sure the \”major axis\” of the elipse is perpendicular to the axle/axis of the cylinder (see lab0 handouts).
