Weirdest Adventure: Spending Christmas Eve night sleeping on the street in Murcia, Spain, waking up to the most beautiful sunset of my life, and getting served champagne with a grilled cheese for Christmas breakfast, followed by swimming in the Mediterranean, where, of course, my friend Joe made me learn how to do a flip off the dock. There are others, such as the time when a friend was knocked unconscious while trad-climbing in the Shawangunks, fell 25ft, broke both arms and got a concussion. This happened on the second pitch of a multi-pitch route and we were about a mile from the nearest road. It was exciting to say the least.
